Academically, our elementary and middle school students access on-grade level curriculum standards in all major academic areas, following Maryland State Department of Education College and Career Readiness Standards (CCR).

Lucy School is committed to fostering in its students the self-confidence, skills, and knowledge that are critical to fulfilling their academic potential and preparing them for the rigors of high school and college. At times, students in our program may benefit from additional support. Our Student Support Team then meets with families to review student progress and create a plan of support.

We use approved interventions and accommodations based on Lucy School’s academic program guidelines, academic staffing, and the student’s current educational testing. These accommodations are created to support a student’s learning at Lucy School but do not constitute academic therapy, nor do they imply a curriculum designed for specific learning disabilities.
