Tuition Assistance

We are proud to offer a variety of tuition assistance opportunities to families. In 2024-25, more than 43% of our students received some form of tuition assistance.

Luce Fund: The Luce Fund for Children, a non-profit charitable organization organized by friends and supporters of Lucy School, offers need-based tuition assistance to fully enrolled students. Applications must be submitted directly to the LUCE Fund by 2/15/24 for the 2024-2025 school year. There are also limited opportunities to make tuition-reduction arrangements with the school in exchange for work at the school.

Maryland 529 Plan: You can use up to $10,000 per year per Beneficiary for K–12 tuition.

Hope Scholarship: Lucy School accepts the Hope Scholarship for qualifying K-8th grade West Virginia students as of August 2024.

Tuition Agreements: There may be an opportunity to arrange tuition reduction by working at the school, contingent upon both a demonstrated need for tuition assistance and a demand for the parent’s specific skills. Substitute teaching, working with grants, landscaping, maintenance, and technical skills are often in demand.
